Many years' nursing experience caring for patients in hospital and community settings and managing teams of healthcare practitioners. Played a major part in a randomised controlled trial of specialist nurse intervention in heart failure (Blue et al BMJ 2001).
Worked in various roles at British Heart Foundation, including developing a UK wide accredited heart failure specialist nurse training programme at Glasgow Caledonian University. Regularly presents at international conferences and has a number of publications in the field of heart failure.
Currently working as a heart failure nurse advisor to support the development of an integrated heart failure nurse service across Guy's and St Thomas’ and King's College hospitals and the communities of Southwark and Lambeth.
